Reagan and Ellie each had a wonderful birthday! Reagan is 2 and Ellie turned 4! We had a combined birthday party for Naomi (their cousin), Reagan, and Ellie while all their cousins were here for the holidays. Ellie and Reagan really loved the bounce houses, so we entertained them with that for the party. I was really trying to make it easy and fun since I didn't have much energy with the pregnancy, was trying to pack up my house to move, just celebrated Christmas, and had 2 birthdays. It's a busy time!
Ellie reminds us almost every day about her birthday and asks how much longer till her next one. On her actual birthday we went to the movies to see Puss in Boots. We all loved it! She also requested to have some friends over to play and to go to the park.
We are so proud of this big 4 year old girl. She is so much fun to be around and makes us smile constantly. Truly a best friend.
We celebrated the New Year with the Walkers, and with New York. 9:00 is the perfect time to party! None of this staying up and being tired and cranky for us!
Reagan's first time with sponge curlers. Santa brought them in her stocking. They weren't left in long enough to get any real results, just a little more body in the hair. Brings back memories of my childhood on Saturday nights getting ready for church.
Grandpa Webb and Uncle Brian came for a quick visit. Ellie is "reading" grandpa the stories that she has memorized. It is so fun to have him come entertain the kids for HOURS! So sweet.
Grandpa is pretty famous for giving rides. He also flies the kids around. After he left, Reagan was making the flying sounds and flying all her dolls and stuffed animals in the air.
Ellie discovered that she really likes to peel carrots. She would peel one a day and eat it.
Reagan loves to put the Mr. Potato Head parts between her toes and walk around. She as always done this instead of putting them on the actual potato.
Reagan is constantly asking to get on our shoulders. She gets pretty frustrated now that mommy can't carry her around like that since I'm pregnant.
The girls hair get so curly in the bath tub. So sweet.
Mike also had a birthday this month! Here's the special birthday breakfast from the Our Best Bites cookbook my sister, Hilary gave me for Christmas. People, it is SUPER easy! Make ahead! AND DELICIOUS!!! The best combo! If you want the recipe let me know and I'll email it to you. I just checked their blog and couldn't find it on there. But every single recipe they have on their blog is to die for, so just check them out if you're not already familiar with them. You will thank me.
We took pictures and framed them for daddy:
I
LOVE
YOU!
Yes, even the baby got in on the action.
Then we went to take lunch to daddy at his work. Here he is with his 2 bosses at CC Construction. This year marks his 10th year of working there! His grandpa was part owner before he passed away.
The girls love to create all kinds of mischief there and crawl all over the floors and under tables. Mike has recently been taking Ellie to work with him if he has to go in on the weekends. She likes to color on the big paper they have there. Reagan is always very sad that she doesn't get to go as well.
Lots of candles on the cake! Happy Birthday Mike!
